Some Crap on the UN from the Neocon Masters

Since it was a slow news day, notwithstanding the push from our exalted legislature to screw us on immigration and make us like it, I decided to head over to the head of neocon journalism, the national review online, or NRO. I happened to find an article about the corruption in the UN. There was a bunch of talk about how great John Bolton is and how he is doing everything to reform the UN, and some other garbage about scandals that won't be fixed and some crying about how much we pay to the organization every year.

So here we are, only a few weeks before the U.N. runs out of money, and Congress set to answer the question of whether the reforms to date are sufficient to warrant the remaining three-quarters of the $3.8 billion budget. The easy way out is also the most familiar. The standard State Department response in the face of the mounting crisis of confidence in this organization is to call the glass half-full. The lines are familiar: We need the U.N. It’s the only global multilateral body. It’s better to keep talking. We’re not perfect either. U.S. hegemony needs correction.

And this is as close as we get from National Review that these united states should get out of the UN. They're real conservatives over there aren't they? The rest of the article is a bunch of whining about how the UN is corrupt and we don't like the way we're being treated by the world body and are upset about the Human rights commision's make up.

Not one time was exiting our membership in the UN mentioned.

Not one time did the author mention that our giving funds to the UN is unconstitutional.

NRO is the face of modern Conservatism. I mean Republicanism.

If these are conservatives, who needs liberals?
